He is neither a king nor a queen — he is the Jack! In a deck of cards, the jack is not the highest in rank, but he is always part of the game, and often the one who gets the job done. Much like an English ale. The English have been good at holding on to their brewing traditions, and every brewery kept a few stronger beers in its portfolio. Knekten is a strong ale in the English style, with a perfect balance between a slightly biscuit‑like malt character and traditional hop varieties. We use East Kent Golding and First Gold in this classic brew. Enjoy Knekten with simple, hearty fare.
